CTF has been
instrumental in setting up 194 Toy Libraries all over India; 86 in Mumbai alone. The Limca
Book of Records 1998 has recorded this feat under Human Story - (page no. 49). Toy
Libraries have been started at orphanages, schools, crèches, industrial and business
establishments, mentally retarded institutions, physically handicapped institutions, Homes
for the Aged, worker colonies and even in jails. Youth associations and womens'
organizations have approached us to guide them. We conduct On the Spot Game
Contests at inter school level. We develop indigenous games, |
which are made available to toy libraries. We
visit hospitals such as Bhatia Hospital & Harkisondas Hospital (both in Mumbai) every
Sunday to entertain sick children with games and toys. We write articles on games and
puzzles, which have been published in Femina and Tarang. We have a full-fledged Toy Library. Every evening, street children
come to play games of their choice. We have trained volunteers to teach to play, and also
oversee them. The atmosphere is truly divine. Come and see how the young children laugh
and enjoy themselves.
Our activities also
include:
1) To help and guide to set up
toy/game libraries. Already 202 toy/game libraries have been started in
orphanages, hospitals, jails, old people homes, schools, slums, and
for street children.

3) Our volunteers entertain sick children in hospitals with toys, games stories, films
etc.
4) To develop indigenous games like Game Bank, Sour Grapes, Relate 3, I Drop be 2nd
to be 1st etc.
5) To bring about awareness, write articles in newspapers, magazines
and now to give new dimension
